Game 2 of the three game Challenge Cup series was played on Feb. 10, 1979 at Madison Square Garden in New York. Team NHL won the first game 4-2 over the Soviet National Team. Game 2 would end in a 5-4 victory for the Soviets. However, the Soviet National team outclassed the NHL All-Stars 6-0 in the 3rd and final game. In this photo from Game 2, Vladislav Tretiak makes an enormous glove save with Guy Lafleur looking for a rebound. The referee is the infamous Victor Dombrovsky.
