1965-66 TML MOORE, ELLIS, BREWER, IMLACH, KELLY DRESSING ROOM
Rare photo of the Leafs dressing room in the 1964-65 season with coach Punch Imlach congratulating rookie Ron Ellis likely after the Feb-10, 1965 game when Ellis scored 2 goals in a victory over arch-rival Montreal which would have made Punch happy.
Oddly, Dickie Moore is to the right of Ellis. Moore, a Hall of Famer and 6 time Stanley Cup winner with Montreal was drafted by the Leafs after sitting out a year because of injury. He rarely played but had 2 assists in this game. To the left is Carl Brewer, who quit the Leafs after this season because of his strained relationship with Imlach. Interesting that when Brewer made his comeback 15 years later, Ron Ellis was the only Leaf still playing.
Professionally developed in a lustre or metallic ink photo.
Framed or unframed.
Dimensions: 11”X14”.
