Mike Palmateer Airborne - Autographed
October 31, 1979
Popular Mike Palmateer makes his trademark acrobatic save vs the Hartford Whalers in their first visit to MLG after the Whalers merged with the NHL from the defunct WHA. This was a season of turmoil for the Leafs as Punch Imlach returned as General Manager and was at odds with his players. Walt McKechnie #11 was one outspoken player who was traded. Leafs defenceman #4 was rookie Greg Hotham whose promising career was disrupted by the chaos that year. This game was notable because not only was it played on Halloween Night but Gordie Howe and Dave Keon were making their first appearance at MLG since they both left for the WHA. Both Howe and Keon scored to the delight of the crowd. A tremendous photo.
Professionally developed in a metallic ink finish photograph and autographed by Mike Palmateer with a COA.
Framed or unframed.
Dimensions: 16" x 20"
