Oct. 1969 - Leafs Training Camp - Three veteran goalies prepare for the Leafs 1969-70 season. 31 year old Bruce Gamble had previous NHL experience with the Rangers and Bruins and performed well enough for the Leafs that the Philadelphia Flyers accepted him in a trade for the legendary Bernie Parent. Soon to be 45 years of age, the Hall of Famer Johnny Bower nicknamed 'the China Wall' was at the end of an illustrious career. In fact. Bower only played one game that season. Marv Edwards, at 35 years old was a rookie! Marv had bounced around the minors for years before joining the Leafs and even had a winning record for the team that year.
