DAVE KEON AND EDDIE SHACK WITH THE STANLEY CUP

CA$0.00

When there is talk about iconic historical photos, this image of the ceremonial face-off on Oct. 14, 1967  stands near the top..  After all, it's the start of the new NHL since the league expanded from 6 to 12 teams.  George Armstrong, captain of the Stanley Cup Leafs faces off with Chicago captain Pierre Pilote in their first meeting since the Leafs eliminated the first place Hawks in the previous semi-finals. Presiding over this ceremonial faceoff is Robert Stanfield, leader of the PC party of Canada and behind him is John Bassett co-owner of the Leafs. Opening game of a season is always special but this one ushers in a new era. Very special.

Professionally developed in a lustre or metallic paper finish photograph.

Framed or unframed.

Dimensions: 11”X14”.
