On this date, Nov. 30, 1963, prior to the second period ,Leaf captain George Armstrong has presented an inscribed gold puck to Gordie Howe to commemorate "Mr. Hockey's 545th NHL goal scored a few days earlier to beat Maurice Richard's record.
